Senior Maya Generalist
Job Description
This position requires thorough knowledge of Maya with several years of experience working as an all rounder on photorealistic shots in broadcast or film environments. Successful applicants will have a well developed ‘eye’, a good working knowledge of art, design and film lighting as well as a solid technical grounding in Maya with Mental Ray. Experience in modeling, texturing, rigging, animation and lighting will be required.
Needs To Do
- Ability to match complex CG elements and live-action footage while maintaining a consistent shot quality
- Ability to flag problems and help find solutions to add realism to shots.
- Set up and participate in dailies
- Creates working test composites for review by the supervision team
- Works in partnership with the 3D team & compositors to ensure shots are delivered to the very highest standard
- Accountable for meeting productivity and quota targets on time and at a high level of quality
Needs To Know
- Full knowledge of Maya, with a thorough understanding of techniques and technologies related to Modeling, Texturing and Animation
- Experience in rigging and animation, though character animation is not essential
- Demonstrated experience in lighting and rendering
- Minimum of 5 years of generalist experience on broadcast/feature films
- Good working knowledge of Mental Ray
- Good working knowledge of Mudbox
